Erasmus+ Programme KA220-VET- Cooperation Partnerships

Bartın University’s Department of Information and Records Management is pleased to announce that it is a partner in an Erasmus+ Programme KA220-VET- Cooperation Partnerships in vocational education and training project that has successfully secured funds from the European Union. The Project is about the “Digitization, Digital Restoration and Presentation of Old Photographs, and is known as the “Digital Restoration Lab” project. The project will run for two years from 2022-2024, and has six partners in total:

  • The National High School of Polygraphy and Photography (Project Coordinator) (Bulgaria)
  • Student Computer Art Society (SCAS) (Bulgaria)
  • "George Baritiu" County Library (Romania)
  • Bartın University (BARÜ)
  • Riga State Technical University (Latvia)
  • University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (Bulgaria)

The project partners have already met in Bulgaria for the first face to face meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria and plan to meet for the second face to face meeting in Bartın, Turkey in April 2023. As part of the project, a film was produced by the six partners about the digitization and digital restoration of vintage photographs within the context of preserving cultural heritage.
